The app that changed my life...

I used to think taking photos of all the items I wanted to sell was going to be a long strenuous process. But now it’s my absolute favorite!

If you've ever wondered how to take good pictures of your twin clothes, I can help! I've said this before, and I'll say it again, get the app PicTapGo+ and it will literally make your life so much easier! It’s the easiest I’ve found to take professional looking pictures of clothes I'm going to sell and it’s seriously the best for this.

It works so well when you don’t have the perfect light to brighten up your clothes and not make them look so dark! I know that the clothes you are selling are magical, but let’s face it, if the background is chaotic, if they look wrinkly and not taken care of, MoMmas just aren’t going to buy. Even at a discount.

So let's break this down....

Here are the steps to make magic happen, take good pictures of your clothes & get them off to a wonderful new set of littles!

1) The poster board trick, I learned from a photographer friend of mine. She said when you’re taking lay flat photos you need as much light as possible, otherwise it’s just going to look dark and not color match.

2) Depending on how bright the room is, you might want to close the curtain. I know that sounds counter intuitive but it just looks better and you avoid shadows!

3) When taking photos of ‘two or three’ you don’t have to have them side by side if it means you can’t get a good photo because you’re too far back. Laying one out and folding the other is just fine!

4) Take photos of as many as you want in a group, put them in a stack and then move on to editing them. I feel like it works better in batches than doing it all at once. {keep the stacks in order because you can go back to them to reference once you’re ready to upload them}

5) Using a photo editing app. When I say editing the photo, I don’t mean go crazy, add filters and turn it into an unrecognizable masterpiece. I just mean, use the photo app to adjust the lighting. That’s why I love the PicTapGo+ app because you can just turn the ‘lights on’ {I swear I’m not getting paid for recommending it! I just like it that much because it’s free and easy!}

When in doubt, use your littles...

One other suggestion for uploading photos is skip the flat lays all together! If you have photos of them on your gorgeous little models, use them! Kimarie Ann Watson @winnie_ellie_twins is an amazing example of this! This way, you don't even have to take more photos! And its an excuse to take more pictures of your adorable twins and triplets!

You don't have to be an expert photographer to take good photos of your adorable items! All you need is some good lighting, a white poster board, a photo editing app, and your creativity!
