There is a small fee to sell on the site, but you only get charged when an item sells – sort of like consignment. SameSame Kids charges a 12% service fee* based on the sales price and a $.50 transaction fee**.
There is a custom, built-in calculator when you list your clothes for sale that shows you exactly what you’ll make before you publish your item for sale! Example: on a $10 order, a 12% service fee + .50 transaction fee would equal $1.70, yielding $8.30 to you, less shipping.
*This fee helps us provide and improve this resource for MoMs.
**This directly covers the PayPal transaction fee.
PayPal holds all the funds until the package is delivered and then all you do is click ‘withdraw’* from your vendor dashboard and the money is sent directly to your PayPal account!
We chose to use PayPal to process transactions to make the best effort to keep buyers and sellers money as secure as possible and didn’t want the site to be responsible for holding credit card numbers.
*To enable us to process your withdrawal requests, please add the email address associated with your PayPal account to your Seller Dashboard by going to Settings > Payment.
In the best effort to avoid the frustration and confusion of added shipping costs at checkout, we offer Free Shipping for our buyers. Sellers will price their items to include that cost up-front, removing that added step for buyers to calculate shipping costs from multiple vendors! We’ve gotten amazing shipping prices from Sendle which beats out most other shipping companies! The average cost is around $3.85 depending on weight, which is amazing! Plus Sendle is 100% carbon neutral so it was a no-brainer to use them!
Once you sell something a shipping label will be emailed directly to you and all you have to do is print it out, attach it to your package and pop it in with your regular USPS mail (or drop it at any USPS location)!
The cost of the shipping label will be deducted from the sale price of your item when your total earnings are calculated. There is a custom, built-in calculator when you list your items for sale that shows shipping prices based on weight, so you’ll know what to expect.
